Planning for Virtual Learning
Selecting the right device for online and virtual learning requires an understanding of not only the features and capabilities of the learning device's operating system but also an understanding of the context of learning. This report, commissioned by Intel, evaluates how the most common operating systems used in K-12 education perform for students without persistent connectivity to the internet.
The results highlight how many of the most common applications struggle to offer offline options for learning and describes options and recommendations that K-12 decision-makers ought to consider when choosing devices for students and educators -- for this fall and beyond.
