The 2017 AWS City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge

Take the Challenge!

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is helping school districts all over the country to simplify and optimize how they make use of data.  And, as part of this effort, AWS is pleased to announce the call for entries for the AWS 2017 City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge, a global program to recognize schools or districts, local or regional governments, and technology partners that are utilizing the AWS Cloud for the benefit of students and citizens.

It’s simple: just tell AWS how you are using the cloud to enrich learning, help teachers reach more students, or improve school or district operations for a chance to win up to $50,000 in AWS promotional credits.

Your school or district can compete in three categories:

Best Practices: Have you deployed an innovative solution with a proven track record of success? Submit for the Best Practices Award so your school or district can take your project to the next level.

Dream Big: Do you have a great idea but need help getting started? Submit your idea, plan for implementation, and how your students, teachers, or operations will benefit. The sky is the limit!

Partners in Innovation: Are you a partner or educational technology company working with schools and districts? Share how you impact student success for K-12 and primary learners worldwide.

The deadline for applications is May 12, 2017. Learn More and Apply.

2017 City on a Cloud recipients will be announced at the AWS Public Sector Summit, June 12-14, 2017 in Washington D.C.

Dream Big and Win

Schools are facing mounting pressure to increase the quality of education while simultaneously reducing budgets. With the AWS cloud, schools and districts can access industry-shaping technology at an affordable cost—no matter what the scale— giving districts the option to budget according to their unique business needs.

Utilizing AWS, educators, IT staff and administrators can ensure that every student gets the attention they need to thrive in the classroom: freeing educators from the distractions of managing infrastructure to focus on what really matters.  Find out more about AWS Cloud for K12 and Primary Education and be sure to tell AWS how your school or district plans to use the cloud to innovate!
