10 Foundational Principles for Protecting Student Data

The Data Quality Campaign and CoSN (The Consortium for School Networking)—along with 32 leading national education organizations representing parents, teachers, principals, superintendents, state boards of education, chief technology officers and many others—have come up with 10 Principles for Protecting Personal Information of Students.
These principles build upon the Data Quality Campaign program, and represent an effort by the education community “to build transparency and trust,” according to Keith Krueger, CEO of CoSN.
