Pennsylvania's Classrooms for the Future Progressing

Pennsylvania has added 152 school districts to the state's Classrooms for the Future, a program that provides laptops to high schools.

Now entering its third year, Classrooms for the Future reaches 543 high schools in 453 of the state's 501 school districts. Those numbers account for approximately 500,000 students.

The state education budget provides $45 million for laptop computers, high-speed Internet access and state-of-the-art software for high school math, science, English and social studies classrooms as well as professional development. Regular “Flip the Switch” events display the value of the technology within the community.
