MLTI Updates, a newsletter from Maine’s laptop program, has tips of interest outside the borders of the state about “the way life should be.” (That is an official state slogan, not just a one-to-one leaning opinion.) There are lots of tech tips for using software tools well in the classroom. The newsletter also stands as a model for communicating about professional development opportunities.

The winter issue features an article on Maine’s Studywiz, the innovative teachers forum, a summer marine life program for teachers, an owl study for students to participate in, and much more. Some key tips in this issue include where to find free copyright free (and dollar free) novels and other texts online.
