Intel Contest Welcomes Teen Stories of Inspiration
"What inspires you to learn?" That's the question Intel is asking 14- to 18-year-old students to answer this summer.
"Inspiration comes in many shapes and sizes," says the Inside Scoop, an Intel blog. "For some it's from an influential teacher, a favorite subject or the pursuit of a lifelong dream. Whatever it may be, it's that special something that gives you the energy to complete your homework, study on weekends, share knowledge with others and always strive to learn more. Whatever your motivation is, we want to hear from you!"
Intel is asking students between the ages of 14 and 18 to describe what inspires them to learn by sending an email to inspiredtolearn@intel.com. Each entry must be at least 50 words and can include photos, videos or other multimedia content – whatever the entrant believes will impress a panel of judges looking for creativity as well as inspiration. The competition runs until August 15, 2011.
The winner will receive a Toshiba laptop with Intel 2nd Generation Core i5 technology plus a Sony Internet TV for his or her school. If a kid is short on ideas, they can find inspiration at the IdeaJam channel on YouTube.
