Winners of One-to-One Readiness Grant Announced

Schools in Belding, MI, Newark, OH, Lafayette, LA and Wichita, KS, will receive help as they launch new 1:1 programs.

DyKnow and Educational Collaborators, LLC, with support from Intel, have announced the winners of their One-to-One Readiness grant, designed to support public, private, parochial and charter K-12 schools as they launch a 1:1 program in the 2011-2012 school year.  

The four winners are:

  • St Thomas More Catholic High School, LA
  • Wichita Collegiate School, KS
  • Belding Area Schools, MI
  • Licking Valley Local Schools, OH

Each of the grant winners will receive one classroom set of DyKnow software, planning and assessment tools, a day of on-site training for up to 10 educators, and extended mentoring.

According to Educational Collaborators’ VP Mike Manning, the competition for the grants was very strong. Decisions were made based on the applicants’ demonstration of: administrative and board support, financial commitment, and professional development plans.
