Editor's Note
It's exciting to watch an online community grow and that's exactly what's happening with K-12 Computing Blueprint. In the months to come you will hear from a growing number of experts in the field of one-to-one computing - experts like Leslie Wilson and Eva LaMar who will be presenting at our first Webinar on September 25, or Tony Anderson of Fullerton Schools in California and Tina Barrios of Manatee County Schools in Florida, whose district programs are (or soon will be) featured in case studies at the K-12 Computing Blueprint site.
We hope you'll visit frequently and share your expertise as well. We invite you to weigh in on this month's quick poll topic (the benefits and challenges of 1:1 computing) and send us suggestions, feedback or article ideas. We especially welcome your URLs and other resource suggestions as we work on building a comprehensive directory of resources for 1:1 schools. While you're at it, if you like what you see at the site, feel free to link from your own organization's Web site to ours. Let's build a vibrant one-to-one community together.

Professional Development Webinar
How do you move beyond PD that focuses on the technology itself and replace it with seamless and ongoing training and support for technology integration? How do you differentiate your professional development offerings and engage those who are afraid of technology and weary of change? Join Eva LaMar of the Springfield Schools in Oregon and Leslie Wilson of Michigan's Freedom to Learn program on September 25 as they share their experiences and respond to your questions about this vital topic.
NEW: One-to-One Resources
Visit our newest page: an annotated directory of resources of special interest to one-to-one schools and others interested in technology-rich implementations. Check out school, district and state-level implementations, company pages focused on 1:1, and other great jumping-off points. We invite you to send additional resources our way to make this resource list ever-more valuable.
Weigh in on the Value of 1:1 Computing
Why do it? What are the greatest benefits and challenges of 1:1 computing? Take this month's Quick Poll and let us know what you're discovering from experience or hoping for as you ramp up a 1:1 program.
